A Weekend Study of the Book of Philippians,
October 7-9
SPC will welcome Reverend Earl Palmer the weekend of October 7-9 to teach 'Sheer Encouragement: A New Look at St. Paul's Letter from Prison to the Philippians'. Former Senior Pastor at University Presbyterian Church, Rev. Palmer is known for his warm-hearted, insightful, down-to-earth expositional preaching and for his expertise on Christian scholars such as C.S. Lewis, Karl Barth, and Dietrich Bonhoeffer. He has served on the Boards of Princeton Theological Seminary, New College Berkeley, Whitworth University and Regent College and has written broadly, authoring 17 major books, including, The Preacher's Commentary-Commentary on 1,2,3, John & Revelation, and; Laughter in Heaven, The Parables of Jesus.
