Sunday School
Welcome to Sunday School!
SPC Children’s Ministry is committed to the mission of teaching and growing followers of Christ. Through dynamic Sunday School programs, we introduce to kids the wonderful message and plan God offers through scripture.
Kids Join Families in Worship, November 30 and December 28...
Being part of the family of God means being part of the worshipping community, as well as part of the learning community. Our Kindergarten through 5th graders will have the opportunity to join in worshipping God with their families, and we will have the gift of their presence in worship on Sunday, November 30 and December 28. Please welcome the children to worship by greeting them and passing the friendship pads and offering plates to them. Please plan to arrive in time to sit near the front, help your children settle in and look over the bulletin in preparation for worship. Let's celebrate this opportunity in our church's life for our children to grow on their faith journeys and be part of the larger family of God! Infant and toddler care and classes for 2s, 3s and PreKindergarten will be available at both services on each date.

Our Sunday School Program is Growing!
Each Sunday, 150+ children through 5th grade participate in SPC's Sunday School program--kids eager to learn about God and build relationships in their church community. Please consider helping us in this very important area of ministry. There are several ways to serve in Sunday School:
Fall 2008, "Walk with Me" Curriculum...
SPC is committed to making Sunday School a place where kids learn and feel God's love! Our curriculum this fall for Pre-K through 5th Grade is called, "Walk With Me" that helps kids do just that! Your child will dive into God's word, build community, celebrate the diversity of God's family, and have fun. "Walk With Me" does more than fill kids' heads with knowledge -- the sessions encourage children to live out their faith. They also meet the needs of multiple learning styles by engaging children in a variety of ways, including drama, games, music, literacy, movement, crafts, and more! Visit www.walkwithmeonline.org. to learn more.
Infant and Toddler Childcare
SPC provides care for infants and toddlers. Parents can have a focused worship experience and rest easy knowing that their children are safe and loved by a group of consistent caregivers. Our facilities include a nursery room equipped with cribs, rocking chairs, and changing stations and a toddler room where crawlers and walkers have a wide range of age-appropriate games and activities to engage in. Parents may check out a pager in the event that a caregiver needs to contact them during the service. For class locations, download a campus map.
Preschool & Pre-K Program
Step into one of our classrooms, and you will instantly feel the tangible energy that our abundantly cute preschoolers exude! At SPC, we value the enthusiasm and fervor that preschoolers possess, and provide opportunities for kids to channel that energy into meaningful learning moments. On a typical Sunday, preschoolers will get started with a variety of fun opening activities tied to the main theme of the lesson and designed to spark their interest for what is to come. Recognizing the diverse learning styles that children have, Bible stories are then told and reflected upon in a variety of engaging ways including puppets, drama, singing, crafts, and more. K through 5th Grade Program
Like Christ’s calling of the first disciples, in which he powerfully connected his ministry to their lives by teaching from inside their fishing boats, we equip our children with the tools to encounter God’s presence in their own lives. Sunday mornings for our inquisitive and energetic elementary-aged children are all about diving into God’s word, building relationships with one another, and growing closer to Christ in fun and relevant ways. Each class begins with interactive activities that hook their interest and are followed by opportunities to develop knowledge and faith in Jesus Christ through music, words, drama, crafts, games, and critical thinking.
