Don Dilley,
Director of Music and Worship

Recently joining the SPC family, Don brings with him a wealth of creative and leadership experience, a great love for music, and a passion for seeing God’s church grow. Don comes to us from Adventure of Faith Presbyterian Church in Port Orchard, WA, where he has faithfully served for the past six years as the Director of Worship, Music and the Arts. During his time at Adventure, Don was responsible for leading worship and the worship band, directing the adult, youth and children’s choirs, and overseeing multiple worship teams. Prior to his position in Port Orchard, Don served as the Director of Music and Worship at First Presbyterian Church (Bartlesville, OK), Steel Lake Presbyterian Church (Federal Way, WA) and Renton First Presbyterian Church. Don completed his undergraduate studies in music at the University of Washington and Western Washington University, and did his graduate work at Oklahoma State University. He is a classically trained musician with experience in a wide variety of musical styles, both vocal and instrumental. In addition to his music and work, Don enjoys spending time with his wife, Cindy, a 6th grade teacher, and his three children – Andrea, and twins, Jeff and Jon, high school juniors. In Don's own words: "I feel that my greatest gift in music ministry is my ability to lead, motivate, and encourage people … as a leader of the church, I emphasize creating environments where people with varying levels of time, talent, and training can use and develop their gifts in worship of God. I set my ‘musician’s ego’ aside a long time ago and find joy in helping others do the same.
