Erin Griggs,
Associate Pastor

Erin is originally from Spokane - the part of Washington that has FOUR seasons! She graduated from Whitworth College and then Princeton Theological Seminary, where she met her husband, Chris. She spent six years on staff as a youth pastor at University Presbyterian Church in Seattle. Erin joined SPC’s staff in August of 2007. She and Chris have two little boys, Carter and Ryan. One of Erin’s greatest desires is to equip SPC for the important work of ministry with its Mid-High and Senior High students. For some it’s leading a small group, praying for a student or hosting a special event. For others it will mean providing transportation, joining us on a mission trip or simply bringing donuts on a Sunday morning. As we partner in ministry together, we remember Paul’s words to us in 1 Thessalonians 2:8, “We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well, because you had become so dear to us.” This is the privilege we have in youth ministry; when we take time to care for our students, we have the opportunity to share not only the gospel of Jesus Christ, but our very selves as well.
