Let's Double our Child Sponsorship in the World Vision Community of Mahlalini, Swaziland...

On November 20, 27, December 4 and 11 as part of SPC's All-Church Christmas Mission, Child Sponsorship Packets will be available in the Sanctuary Hall after both worship services. There are many children in Mahlalini, Swaziland, SPC's supported World Vision community, who still need a sponsor. (see more details below).

Since 2009, over 175 children from Mahlalini have been sponsored by families at SPC. With our generous monthly giving, these children living in a community ravaged by the AIDS epidemic have a brighter future. Consider this:

  • in Swaziland, over 40% of the population is infected with HIV/AIDS;
  • 1 out of every 5 children is an orphan;
  • over 15,000 households are headed by orphaned children;
  • a 15-year-old has only a 20% chance of reaching age 35.
  • Sponsorship Details:

    Sponsorship allows for a deep bonding experience as your sponsored child grows up, offering the security of financial support until s/he turns 18. The cost to sponsor one child is $35 per month, which helps provide:

    • clean water
    • nutritious food
    • health care including AIDS prevention
    • educational opportunities
    • spiritual nurture
    • care for sick or dying parent(s)
    • HIV/AIDS counseling

    Sponsorship Gifts may be made in one of two ways:

    • deducted automatically from your debit card or bank account or,
    • charged to your credit card (VISA, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover).
    • Sponsorship packets are available in the SPC main office. Contact Lolly Anderson.

    In addition to child sponsorship, SPC supports World Vision financially with an annual gift of $10,000 in 2011.
