“To be really at home is to be really at peace, and there can be no real peace for any of us until there is some measure of real peace for all of us. When we close our eyes to the deep needs of other people, whether they live on the streets or under our own roof—and when we close our eyes to our own deep need to reach out to them—we can never be fully at home anywhere.”

-Frederick Buechner

Teen Feed

Teen Feed is a program through University Street Ministry designed to respond to the needs of the homeless and displaced youth of Seattle’s University District. If you’re looking for a local mission project to do with your family, friends or small group— this is a great opportunity. Groups from SPC plan, purchase, prepare and serve a meal to about 50-70 homeless teens on the third Sunday of each month from 5:00-8:30pm.

To serve at Teen feed, view the current schedule and list of open slots and then signup by emailing your name and the number of volunteers in your group to teenfeed@spconline.org.

SPC is walking alongside the homeless teens in Seattle people through prayer, relationship, meals and financial support of $3,000 in 2008.
