Hebron Community Projects
About the July 2016 Mission Trip to HCP
The first week of July 2016, join Pastor, Austin Ashenbrenner on a mission trip as we partner with Hebron Community Projects (HCP) to organize and support a sports/activity camp for the community of Citrusdal, South Africa. Applications for this trip are due Sunday, January 24.
HCP is a non-profit organization founded to serve as a catalyst for positive change in this community that is marked by poverty, alcoholism, crime and a high incidence of HIV/AIDS. Through a partnership with our congregation, HCP has built a Life Center and is currently building a soccer field to create community where people can come together for learning, growing and sports activities.
More about SPC and HCP...
SPC member and missionary, Missy Van Der Wath, is on the Board of Hebron and has been serving with HCP since 2009. HCP has come alongside the community through the Vegetable Garden Project, movie nights and farm church, supporting the local school (Paardekop School) and preschool, building a Life Center in 2014, and most recently by hosting an auction which raised over $65,000 to build a soccer field for the community.
