About Hebron and SPC's Fall 2013 Mission Trip...

Download Mission Trip Application here (due May 26)...

Hebron Community Projects (HCP) is a non-profit Christian-based organization that was founded to serve as a catalyst for positive change in South African society and is designed to provide struggling youth with an opportunity to reclaim their lives.Located in Citrusdal, a rural, agricultural area in the Western Cape of South Africa, HCP is located in a community marked by poverty, alcoholism, crime and a high incidence of HIV/AIDS. This fall, September 23-October 4 (exact dates subject to slight change), join Amber Slate, Mid High Director, and Hebron missionary, Missy Van der Wath, on a working mission trip to harvest flowers in support of Hebron. The team is limited to 8 people and all participants must be 18 years of age or older. Deadlineto apply is Thursday, May 26. For more information, please contact mission@spconline.org.

HCP is in the process of establishing two programs, Houses of Hope and Hebron Hope Academy to address some of the issues the community is facing. Houses of Hope will provide a safe home and stable support structure for HIV-children and provides emergency placement for children in unsafe environments. Hebron Academy will provide a temporary home for young men, up to age 23, from the area. The Academy is a safe place for young men to come and learn both trade and farm skills that will benefit the community, and to develop a deeper spiritual life.

How Can I Help?

Lots of prayer! Prayers would be much appreciated for the safety of the children and young men that will be called into join the HCP programs, and for strength, encouragement, and persistence for everyone involved with Hebron Community Projects. You may also want to consider joining SPC on our Fall 2013 Mission Trip to Hebron.

What is Our Commitment?

SPC is walking alongside Missy Van Der Wath and the people of Citrusdal in prayer and financial support of $6,000 in 2012.
