About Hebron Community Projects
Hebron Community Projects (HCP) is a non-profit organization founded to serve as a catalyst for positive change in South African society. HCP is located in Citrusdal, a rural, agricultural area in the Western Cape of South Africa; it's a community marked by poverty, alcoholism, crime and a high incidence of HIV/AIDS. SPC member and missionary, Missy Van der Wath, is on the board of Hebron and has been serving with HCP since 2009. HCP has come alongside the community through the Vegetable Garden Project, movie nights and farm church, supporting the local school (Paardekop School) and preschool (Ubuntu Crèche).
SPC is partnering with HCP in 2014 to provide funds to build a Life Center; a place of refuge, learning and growing, where people can come together to serve the specific needs of this rural community. The Life Center is currently projected to be completed by August 2014.
