Sermon Series:

The Apostle Paul And the Adventure of Faith

June 19-August 28. The Bible is filled with great heroes of faith; flawed, imperfect humans like you and me who somehow overcome the odds, believe God's word to be true, trust in God's promises, and do something incredible. Abraham is one of those people. His story is celebrated all over the world, by literally billions of people (including us) who see his life with God as something to learn from. He was by no means perfect, but he trusted the living God. This summer at SPC, we will be taking a look together at this remarkable man of faith and what his foibles and successes have to teach us about our lives with the God of Scripture, who makes some amazing promises to us...and asks us to simply trust.

The Children's Sunday School Lineup:

This summer, beginning June 19, Sunday mornings are going to look a little different—we will be inviting our kids to join us in worship. We will continue to offer childcare for infants through PreK at both services, but we will invite our Kindergarten through 5th grade students to join their parents for the first half of worship. Prior to the start of the sermon, these students will be escorted to Room C-201 for their own program. We are really looking forward to the opportunity this will allow us to:

a) model to our kids that worship is for them;

b) learn about worship from our children--there is something about seeing kids worshiping, singing, praying, just being who they are that reminds us we are all children before a living God;

c) give our regular Sunday School teachers a summer break, so they, too, can reconnect in worship.

Mid High Sunday School (CHIIIILLLL! Sunday Mornings at 10:30am):

Summer's hot, but Mid High is going to be pretty chiiiiilllll! June 19-August 14, all incoming 6th-8th grade students will meet in The Box on Sunday mornings during the 10:30am service for doughnuts, games, devotions, and time to chill with friends and leaders. Afterwards, students are welcome to walk to lunch (bring your own money!) with Amber, returning to SPC at Noon. For more info vist Mid High.

Senior High:

Although there will be no Sunday School for Senior High students on Sunday mornings this summer, we are offering CORE from 7-8:30pm Wednesday nights for incoming Freshman through graduated Seniors. Each week, June 15-August 17, we'll plan different events--hanging out at a local park or leaders' house, swimming, enjoying a bonfire, or even just spending time in The Box. We'll continue to grow with each other and grow in Christ as we investigate the book of Psalms. We will not meet June 29 or July 27. For more info visit Senior High.
