We revisited a heartwarming mission trip to Tijuana, Mexico, where dedicated volunteers built homes and created lasting connections within the community. This past Sunday, we recapped an amazing week of Vacation Bible School (VBS) filled with faith, fun, and community service! With 193 participants, including 85 kids, 58 youth, and 50 adult volunteers, we had an amazing week of learning about Jesus and raised over $2,750 for our local 'Tools for School' backpack drive. Watch this recap video with highlights, worship with us through our favorite VBS songs, and mark your calendars for next year's VBS, 'Rainforest Falls', happening from July 13th to 17th. Job Opening: Part-Time Custodian
Sammamish Presbyterian Church is looking to hire a custodian who will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the church facilities. This position supports the mission and vision of SPC by ensuring the cleaning, maintenance and repair of all campus buildings, property and its systems. This includes cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, vacuuming and mopping floors, dusting and wiping surfaces, and ensuring that all areas are presentable and ready for use. The Church Custodian also assists with setting up and taking down equipment for events and activities held in the church. Duties include supporting our rental clients under the direction of the Director of Operations.

Hours: 20 hours per week Compensation: $18 - $20 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Assist with setting up and taking down equipment for events and activities.
Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Director of Operations.
Monitor and maintain building security and safety measures.
Interact with vendors and contractors as needed, serving as the primary on-site point person for scheduled cleaning crews (e.g., weekly deep cleaning).
Serve as the primary point person for staff regarding minor facility complaints or issues, coordinating with appropriate personnel for resolution.
Regularly monitor and take inventory of custodial and facility supplies. Proactively notify the Director of Operations when supplies are running low to ensure timely reordering.
Perform other duties assigned by the Director of Operations.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior custodial or janitorial experience preferred.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a helpful and service-oriented attitude.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning equipment.
Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
Successful completion of a background check is required.
Must be able to provide documentation establishing identity and authorization to work in the United States.
Future Potential: This part-time position has the potential to convert to a full-time role in the future, encompassing full janitorial responsibilities for the church facilities.
